You can really do whatever you want. For a sudden bout of pain you may want to try three times a week for one week to get the pain under control as quickly as possible.
If you are getting some muscle work and stretches and specific exercises along with an adjustment, you could very well get similar results at just twice per week.
In my experience, you probably don’t need 3 times a week for any more than two weeks, and that may be reserved for an auto accident injury due to the forces involved.
My typical plan would be 2 times a week for 2-3 weeks. Let’s evaluate your progress each week and tweak the treatment based on how you are or are not progressing with your specific goals in mind.
Certain conditions can be finished in two weeks while others might take 6.
