Turf wars are in every country apparently. Mr Doe and Ling were chatting the other day. Afterwards I was like HEY what was all that about. She hesitated because she didn’t want to hurt my feelings.
I think I mentioned this before, that sometimes she didn’t tell me about some of the drama or the stuff people do/say about me. For instance, one girl (who people don’t care for now because of stuff like this) would openly and directly tell some patients when i would go to the bathroom, UH he went again. Now, if I am seeing 5 people at even 7 minutes each and have another 5 to go, and i need to go…well i’m going to go because that’s nearly another hour to wait.
Plus most patients understand and some even say hey Yīshēng( E-shung) (doctor) you need a break? So anyways this girl was turning some patients into angrier ones,
AND i found out one reason why most of the nurses don’t go eat with Ling and I, even when invited…because I won’t pay for them. Now I know i make a ton more than they do, but if they eat with us or not, they still would be buying food so why not hang with us. Tangent Over!!
BACK TO THE TITLE: Ling decides to tell me. Doe was saying that Mr Lee the CEO is happy that we are busy and bringing in new patients. Obviously
Let me explain our chiro dep annex. There are two buildings, one in front that is one story (my area) and a 6 story building in back. My building has a pharmacy, chiro, eye doctor, minor surgery, and an area for patients to sit and get fluids through the arm (they hold their own bag in the air, sometimes). Our room also has another room connected to it and to the hall.
A Dr. Zhong, who i like and wish we could communicate more together, is a surgeon but also does patient intake to the hospital. He is friendly to the dept. Across the hall our some other docs who do intake, but i’m not sure the difference between the two.
Apparently, the ones across the hall our upset with my dept because NOW patients who normally would see them and get sent to other depts for headaches, dizzy, numb arms/legs, back pain etc want to see us.
The docs all get paid a salary but I think they get bonuses somehow on volume. SO apparently and not really surprisingly, everyone is cool beans until you hit them in the pocket book. Once the wallet is affected then turf wars occur…not just in the USA. Maybe I can get some learning experience through this and be a chiro dept director at a hospital in the USA.

we were invited to a patients home right outside the city. great views
what a feast they prepared for us. DELICIOUS
the boss had us do an impromptu screening, only to get shut down because they didn’t have a permit. “causing a traffic commotion”
A 70+ year old lady lost her husband like the week before starting treatment and was visibly still hurting in the face. I asked for Ling help and I created this sympathy card for her. Ling even helped pick the bible verse. She translated, then i wrote it. Yes she signed it too.
Look at you causing a traffic commotion! No surprise that the politics and “turf wars” exist everywhere. Really loving the photos of your travels around the area; it is wonderful you are invited to visit patients’ houses and see more of the land. Absolutely gorgeous shots!
The card you made and wrote was very sweet to do for someone. You have a very kind heart and I hope they know, which I think they do!
