As you know, French fries are one of the most popular foods in
America. Most people love to eat them. They’re offered as the
first choice side dish with almost every fast food chain and sit
down restaurant chain around.
The authors of the best selling weight loss series, “Eat This, Not
That!” and “Cook This, Not That!” have shared which French fries
are the worst…and the best in terms of calories and health. (The
answer for the best fries may surprise you.
So here’s the rundown. It’s pretty interesting:
Worst Curly Fries: Arby’s Curly Fries
Worst Wedge Fries: Jack in the Box Bacon Cheddar Wedges
Worst Fries for Your Blood Pressure: Dairy Queen Chili Cheese Fries
Worst Regular Order of Fries: Five Guys Large Fries
The Worst Fries in America: Chili’s Texas Cheese Fries with
Jalapeno Ranch
The BEST Fast Food Fries in America: McDonald’s Small French Fries
I bet you didn’t think McDonald’s would have the healthiest fries,
did you? And compared to Burger King and Wendy’s, the McDonald’s
small fries have the least sodium and calories.
Also, remember that the key to all of this is PORTION CONTROL. If
you have a smaller serving of fries, it’s not going to hit your
beltline as much. But then again, if you want to lose weight and
be as healthy as possible, French Fries is a food that you should
be limiting in your diet anyway.
That’s it for today. I’ll talk to you soon,
