A Proven 3D Brace That Corrects Curves — Without the Premium Price Tag
The CMP Brace uses the same 3D correction science as top-tier braces, backed by 25 independent clinical trials — at a price that makes treatment possible for more families.
You Want a Brace That Actually Works. You Just Don’t Want to Break the Bank Getting It.
Most families hear two options when they get a scoliosis diagnosis: a basic brace that just holds the curve, or a premium custom brace that costs a lot more. The CMP Brace is neither. It’s a true 3D correction brace, tested in 25 independent clinical trials, at a price built for real families.
What Is the CMP Brace?
CMP stands for Corrective Movement Principle. It’s a custom, rigid brace built from a 3D scan of your body — not a plastic mold guessed at from a chart. The brace pushes the spine in three directions at once: sideways, front-to-back, and rotation. That’s the same 3D thinking behind the best modern braces, without a one-size-fits-most design.
The CMP system doesn’t just look at how many curves you have. It sorts every curve into one of 31 specific classifications — figuring out which curve is the main problem, which curve is secondary, and which curve is just your body compensating. That level of detail lets your brace target the real problem instead of just squeezing the whole spine and hoping for the best.
Built From a 3D Scan
Your exact body shape is captured with a contactless scan, then used to design a brace made only for you.
31 Curve Classifications
Your brace is designed around your specific curve pattern — not a generic “one size treats all” shape.
Proven in 25 Clinical Trials
This isn’t a new idea being tested on your child. It’s a design with over a decade of independent research behind it.
What Makes the CMP Brace Different From a “Hold and Hope” Brace
Older brace designs squeeze the spine from three fixed points and hope the curve doesn’t get worse. That’s a stabilizing brace, not a correcting one. The CMP Brace was built to do more than hold the line — it’s designed to actively push the curve toward correction while your child still has growth on their side.
What the CMP Brace Does
- Treats the spine in all three directions — sideways curve, rotation, and front-to-back balance
- Uses circumferential pressure that increases gradually, not one hard squeeze
- Adds corrective pads over time as your curve responds
- Built with soft, washable foam lining and cooling, moisture-wicking fabric
- Designed by a clinical team with 75+ combined years in scoliosis bracing
Who It’s Typically Used For
- Growing children and teens with curves from about 20° and up
- Adolescent Idiopathic, Juvenile, Infantile, Congenital, and Neuromuscular scoliosis
- Curves that need more than exercise alone, but aren’t yet a surgical conversation
- Families who want proven 3D correction at a more accessible price point
Dr. Justin will confirm during your exam whether CMP, ScoliBrace, or another option fits your specific curve best.
Full-Time or Night-Time — There’s a CMP Brace Built for Your Situation
CMP Brace (Full-Time)
Worn about 20 hours a day. This is the standard CMP option for moderate to larger curves, typically 25°–60°, in growing children. It can be removed for sports, dance, and prescribed physical therapy, within a 4-hour daily window.
CMP Night Brace
Worn 10–12 hours a day, during sleep only. Built for moderate Adolescent Idiopathic curves. It uses the same corrective principles but applies stronger over-correction while your child is lying down — for families who need a part-time option that still delivers real results.
There’s also a CMP Lite and Lite X version — a lighter, softer-edged design most often used for younger children and Neuromuscular or Syndromic scoliosis, and sometimes for adults. Ask Dr. Justin which version fits your curve during your evaluation.
CMP Brace vs. ScoliBrace: Which One Is Right for You?
Both are true 3D correction braces built from your exact body shape. Neither is a “cheap version” of the other — they’re two different clinically-proven paths to the same goal. Here’s how they compare so you can talk it through with Dr. Justin.

What the Clinical Data Shows
Individual results vary based on curve size, flexibility, age, and how consistently the brace is worn. We can’t guarantee a specific outcome — but we can show you real case data during your visit.
Before & After: Real Curves, Real CMP Brace Results
Below are actual patient X-rays showing curve correction achieved with the CMP Brace. Every case is different — your results will depend on your specific curve, age, and how many hours a day the brace is worn.

The Longer You Wait, the Fewer Options You Have
Every growth spurt is a window. Bracing works best while your child is still growing — once that window closes, the same curve is much harder to correct. Waiting to “see if it gets worse” isn’t a treatment plan, it’s a delay. The CMP Brace gives you a proven, affordable way to act now instead of waiting to find out.
CMP Brace: Frequently Asked Questions
How many hours a day does my child wear the CMP Brace?
The standard CMP Brace is worn about 20 hours a day. It can come off for sports, dance, and prescribed physical therapy, as long as total off-brace time stays under 4 hours daily. If a full-time schedule isn’t realistic for your family, the CMP Night Brace is worn only 10–12 hours during sleep.
Is the CMP Brace as effective as a premium custom brace?
The CMP Brace is a genuine 3D correction brace, not a basic holding brace. It’s been tested in 25 independent clinical trials and uses the same core science — 3D scanning, curve-specific design, and progressive correction — as our premium ScoliBrace option. The difference is more about level of customization and price than effectiveness.
What ages and curve sizes is CMP used for?
The standard CMP Brace is typically used for growing children and teens with curves around 25°–60°. The CMP Lite and Lite X versions are used more often for younger children, Neuromuscular and Syndromic scoliosis, and sometimes adults. Dr. Justin will confirm the right fit at your exam.
Does insurance cover the CMP Brace?
Coverage varies by plan. Many insurers still base decisions on older brace standards, which can make coverage inconsistent for advanced 3D braces. We’ll walk you through your options and be upfront about cost before you make any decisions — and CMP is often the more accessible choice for direct-pay families.
How is the CMP Brace built?
It starts with a 3D scan of your body, not a plaster mold. That scan is used with CAD/CAM design software and one of 31 specific curve classifications to build a brace made only for your curve pattern — then manufactured with precision robotic technology.
