The Sweetener More Deadly Than Sugar

We all know that we should eat sugar in moderation. But what you
may not know is there is a sweetener that is FAR WORSE than sugar,
and can have harmful effects to your body.

Research has proven for the first time that fructose, a cheap form
of sugar used in thousands of food products and soft drinks, can
damage human metabolism and is part of the problem with America’s
obesity crisis.

Fructose, commonly called high fructose corn syrup, is a sweetener
that is derived from corn. It can cause dangerous growths of fat
around vital organs and is able to trigger the early stages of
diabetes and heart disease.

Over a 10 week period of time, 16 volunteers engaged in a
controlled diet that included high levels of fructose. The people
in this study developed new fat cells around their heart, liver,
and other digestive organs. They also showed health signs liked to
diabetes and heart disease.

Another group of volunteers had the exact same diet, but with
glucose sugar instead of fructose sugar. The group that had
glucose did not have these problems.
High fructose corn syrup has been linked to the following:

  • weight gain and obesity
  • elevated blood pressure
  • insulin resistance
  • depletion of vitamins and minerals
  • cardiovascular disease

The best thing you can do is to avoid or severely limit your intake
of high fructose corn syrup.
