As a patient in my office, hopefully you know and understand that
chiropractic care offers far more value and benefit than just
treating back and neck pain.
But when it comes to low back pain, chiropractic care is one of the
most effective, if not the most effective thing you can do.
A new study finds that if you have low back pain and start care
with a doctor of chiropractic first, it will save you 40% on your
health care costs when compared with starting with a medical
doctor. The study reviewed data from 85,000 people with Blue Cross
Blue Shield health insurance. It was also stated that insurance
companies that restrict access to chiropractic care for low back
pain treatment may pay more for care than they would if they
offered chiropractic.
I’m not sure if you know this, but low back pain in America is a
significant health problem. Up to 85% of Americans will experience
low back pain at some point in their lives, and it is said it is
the #2 reason for visiting a doctor (#1 is the common cold).
The costs are massive. Back pain treatment accounts for around $50
billion dollars a year in health care costs, making it one of the
top 10 most costly conditions treated in the United States. It
also has a negative effect on the work force because employees with
low back pain are not as productive.
The takeaway I want you to have today is chiropractic care is
proven. It works. And it’s extremely cost effective. Right now,
people with back pain need affordable solutions that work, and
chiropractic has been proven to do just that.
So if you have any family, friends, or co-workers who are suffering
with low back pain and don’t know what to do, forward them this
email and let them know I’d be happy to meet them and see how I can
help.
Email me any questions or comments that you have and I’ll see you
in the office!
Sincerely,
Dr. Justin Trosclair
