Well…January sure went by fast. 1/12th of the year gone already.
Are you sticking to your “New Year’s Resolutions?” Are you making
progress on your goals for this year?
If you are already struggling, let me give you a little help.
There’s a magic little word you need to use that will help you
reach the goals and get the things done that really matters.
What’s the word you ask? The word is NO. Yes, you read that
correctly, the word is NO.
You need to learn how to say NO to some things. One of the biggest
problems people have is they have TOO MUCH going on. They OVER
COMMIT.
People over commit in all areas of their life, and when you do that
it creates OVERWHELM…and when you feel overwhelmed, you
dramatically lose your ability to focus and get things accomplished.
So what can you say NO to right now? Take a hard look at your new
year’s resolutions and goals. Why not lighten the load and just
focus on the 3 most important things you wrote down?
Take a look at your personal life. Write down all the things
you’ve got going on so you can see them all on one piece (or two)
of paper. Now, look at your list and try to find some things you
can say NO to that will simplify your life a little.
Finally, look at your work life. Again, prioritize what is really
important and say NO to the things that are draining your time,
energy, and productivity.
Learning to say NO is very helpful because it will help you
prioritize what is important right now in your life. If you
actually do start saying NO to things, you will find it will free
up your time and your stress, and allow you focus and be more
productive with the things that actually matter.
So spend a little time going over your schedule and your personal
and business life and see what things you can say NO to. I think
it’ll help you out!
Thanks and I’ll talk to you soon,
