Outstanding Chiropractic Doctor Award Recipient 2016 from
4th Annual World Ridge Diagnosis Chiropractic Alliance in TianJin China
August 08, 2016 while working in China I was asked to attend the 4th Annual World Ridge Diagnosis Chiropractic Alliance conference in Tianjin, China. Myself, my wife/translator, and two others attended the conference. The WRDCA is a multi-country alliance mostly made up of Asian countries but a doctor from Russia and myself (USA) was in attendance. Their goal is to integrate Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture, cupping, massage etc.) and Chiropractic. They have their own style of joint manipulation and many are eager to learn the more classical American style Chiropractic adjustments.
I was asked to make a presentation on any topic I desired. I choose to highlight my passion for instrument based adjustments and reinforce the importance that chiropractic treatments have on the nervous system, not just moving bones and relaxing muscles. A brief discussion on 4 of the ways research is showing how adjustments effect pain and muscle spasm based on neurology was next. Lastly, I did a demonstration of sacro-iliac, lumbar, thoracic anteriors and cervical adjustments on one of the doctors in attendance. My translator and wonderful wife did an excellent job articulating my points and the whole presentation was well received.
